Eco Photo: An Alternative Process Camp

Camp Description

Discover the magic of Cuyahoga Valley National Park and alternative photography in this five-day immersive camp! Students will dive into hands-on techniques that use sunlight, plants, and natural materials to create one-of-a-kind images. Over the course of the camp, participants will experiment with eco-friendly photographic processes such as cyanotypes, anthotypes, and lumens, using natural objects and found textures as both their subject and their medium. Participants will engage in free nature play along with guided field trips exploring the park. Slow looking and mindfulness are at the center of this program. By the end of the week, each student will have original works that celebrate the beauty and creativity found in the natural world, and a deeper connection with CVNP.

Lunch and transportation are provided. Please dress appropriately for a range of outdoor and indoor activities that involve nature and exploration.

After care will be available for an additional $150 for the entire week from 3-5pm. All students must be picked up no later than 5pm. CNVP does not offer pro-rated after care.

Age: Middle school students

Price: $300 per student

*Financial Aid is available for those that qualify according to federal guidelines

Camper families will need to create an account first, then they can sign up for the camp.
