Learn how to print black & white photographs from film at the Cleveland Print Room Community Darkroom.

This workshop is for anyone new to the process of hand-printing photographs from B&W film, or for those who would like a refresher course to refine their existing knowledge and technique. This session will provide a complete technical overview of the B&W printing process in the photographic darkroom, including the use of enlargers, basic filters, and use of chemistry.

Students will have time to print a small selection of their images. This workshop provides an adequate amount of time for each student to receive one-on-one assistance if desired.

What You'll Need

Students should bring developed standard B&W film to the class — preferably 35mm film. Students should also bring a pack of photographic paper to print on, preferably 8x10 sheets.
