CPR's Teen Institute gives kids the tools to express themselves through photography, interact with their environment, and learn what it means to be an artist.
The Cleveland Print Room (CPR) is proud to offer youth photography classes that enrich and educate. Students can choose between our two introductory classes or the more intensive, year-long POV: Photo Visionary Mastery Program.
CPR's Teen Institute serves over 400 students, grades 4 to 12 annually, with the goal of fostering self expression and community engagement among a diverse group of students. Teen Institute offers a wide range of opportunities for students to develop their knowledge of photography, critical thinking, writing, and public speaking.
IF: Instant Foto is an introductory instant photography program with several sites within the city of Cleveland. IF runs three 8-week semesters throughout the year. Students use LOMO Instax Wide cameras to learn the basics of photography.
PS: Project Snapshot is a 16 week B&W film processing course that runs the full school year. Students use Pentax 35mm cameras to push their photography skills to the next level. Sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council. Student work is displayed at the Ohio Civil Rights Commission in the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus for a full year.
POV: Photo Visionary is Teen Institute's Mastery Program. Students from PS and IF are encouraged to apply. POV includes photographic and writing assignments, digital intensives, visual presentations, critiques, field trips, and visiting artists.
