CPR's Teen Institute gives kids the tools to express themselves through photography, interact with their environment, and learn what it means to be an artist.
IF: Instant Foto (formerly Multiple Exposure) is funded by the Cleveland Foundation Arts Initiative and is an arts workshop for middle school and high school students in Cleveland that enables participants to express their creativity through photography via access to instant film cameras. IF brings photography to students in the community and provides a high quality immersive arts education experience focusing on mastering the skill of visual storytelling and the craft of photography.
PS: Project Snapshot is a 16 week B&W film photography program teaches students the basics of photography and refines their technical and aesthetic skills in traditional photography. Students will learn photography from photograms and pinhole cameras to developing and printing film in the darkroom. PS includes instruction on the business of being an artist, teaching editing, matting, signing contracts, and selling their work in a gallery.
POV Mastery Program enables 40 motivated high school juniors and seniors to advance their photography skills and develop an awareness of the creative and professional possibilities in the field. These self-selected students will learn to master photography by investing the time necessary to build the skill set that lets them create with confidence, speed, and accuracy.
