2019 National Juried Exhibition at the Cleveland Print Room: THE PEER SHOW 
On display September 13 – October 25, 2019

The Cleveland Print Room is recognized as a dynamic center for education and experimentation in the photographic arts. CPR is Cleveland’s only dedicated photographic gallery, community darkroom, education center, and workspace. The Print Room has hosted exhibitions of international photographers from Chile, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ukraine, and Cuba, along with nationally recognized photographers from the US.

ELIGIBILITY:

Artists must reside in the US or Canada.

Registration is $25 for CPR Members and $30 for CPR non-members. You can become a member today by visiting our website: www.clevelandprintroom.com.

The registration fee allows each artist to submit up to two (2) pieces of original art in any photographic-oriented medium. Entry fees are non-refundable. ONLINE SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED FROM JUNE 1 – AUGUST 5, 2019 (EXTENDED). Artists will be notified by Friday, August 16 by midnight of acceptance.

DEADLINE & DATES:

Exhibition dates: September 13 – October 25, 2019

Public Opening Reception: September 13, 2019, 5-9pm

Submission Deadline: August 5, 2019 at midnight (EXTENDED)

Notification of selected/non-selected artwork: August 16, 2019

Accepted artwork must be delivered by: August 30, 2019

Best of Show: $300
Best B&W: $150
Best Color: $150
Best Alt Process: $150
Director's Award: $100

WORK SPECIFICATIONS:

All selected work must be hand-delivered to the Cleveland Print Room or sent with a pre-paid return slip.

All work must be ready to hang from typical gallery picture hooks without needing special equipment and framed pieces should be strung with picture wire. CPR reserves the right to refuse artwork that is not ready to hang. All artwork should have artist’s name, contact info, artwork title, year, and price on the back of the piece.

Work exceeding 36 inches in any dimension may be excluded due to space restrictions. Work may not exceed seventy pounds in weight. *If your work exceeds these restrictions, please email shari@clevelandprintroom.com to discuss gallery specifications and submission.

All work must be original, executed within the last 5 years, and not been shown previously at the Cleveland Print Room. 

All subject matter must be appropriate for public viewing.

Entries must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.

SALES:

Cleveland Print Room will retain a 40% commission from works sold. In the event of a sale, the artist will be notified at the closing of the exhibition and mailed a check for 60% of the sale within 30 days.

SHIPPING:

All shipping costs to and from the Cleveland Print Room are the responsibility of the artist. Artwork must arrive by August 30, 2019. It will be shipped back the within two weeks after the closing of the exhibit, or must be picked up within a week after closing. The Cleveland Print Room is not responsible for any artwork left after this time. 

PERMISSION:

The Cleveland Print Room reserves the right to photograph and reproduce all exhibit entries regardless of copyright. Such materials will be used for promotional and/or educational purposes only.
